Comparing Laser Equipment Financing Offers for Your Clinic

Compare upfront cash, payment schedules, fees and end-of-term costs when reviewing financing for your clinic's laser equipment purchase.

Two offers for the same aesthetic device can have different payments and different total costs. Before choosing one, put the important terms on a single comparison sheet. The smallest monthly amount is only one part of the decision.

This guide helps Canadian clinic owners frame questions about a laser or light equipment purchase. It does not recommend a particular financing product or predict what your clinic will qualify for.

Compare the same purchase amount

Begin with the same supplier quote. Note whether each offer includes taxes, delivery or other quoted costs. Subtract any deposit only once. If one offer finances less of the purchase, its lower payment may not mean it is less expensive.

Record five things for each offer

  1. Cash due before delivery: deposits, advance payments and fees.
  2. Payment schedule: amount, frequency, number of payments and first due date.
  3. Other charges: document fees, insurance requirements or ongoing administration costs.
  4. End-of-term position: ownership, a purchase option, residual amount or return requirements.
  5. Early exit: what happens if you want to repay, sell or replace the device.

BDC's buy-or-lease guide discusses ownership cost and end-of-lease purchase cost. Confirm the actual contract rather than assuming every lease or loan works the same way.

A simple payment comparison

Consider two invented offers for illustration. Offer A has 36 payments of $1,000. Offer B has 48 payments of $800. Scheduled payments total $36,000 for A and $38,400 for B. B reduces the monthly commitment by $200 but has $2,400 more in scheduled payments.

That arithmetic is not a complete cost comparison. Add upfront amounts, fees and any final purchase payment to each offer. Check whether taxes are included. The figures above are not a rate quote, a market benchmark or an offer from Mehmi.

Match the commitment to your clinic's plan

Ask how long you expect to use the device and how payments fit the rest of your clinic's obligations. Test the payment against a quieter month, not only your busiest month. Discuss tax and accounting treatment with your own adviser; do not choose a structure based on an assumed deduction.

Separate the supplier and financing decisions

True North Aesthetic Supply can confirm its device configuration, delivery and supplier support. Mehmi Financial Group can help you review potential financing options and understand the next steps. Neither a quote nor a financing approval replaces your checks on the equipment's suitability for your business.

Use the True North financing page to estimate payments and begin a request. For wider background, see Mehmi's medical laser financing guide.

Educational information only, not financial, tax or legal advice. Mehmi is a financing brokerage. Approval, rates, costs and terms depend on the financing provider and your application.
