Map commercial HVAC project payments against business cash flow and compare financing terms beyond the monthly amount.
A commercial HVAC project can involve several payment dates before the system is fully operating. Map those dates against your business cash flow before deciding whether a financing offer fits.
Start with the contractor's quote and proposed schedule. Record the deposit, equipment delivery, progress payments and completion payment. Identify taxes and costs outside the contract separately. Ask how changes in delivery or site conditions could affect those dates.
Ask when approved funds would actually become available and what conditions must be met first. Confirm how supplier invoices and deposits are handled. A financing approval does not, by itself, establish that a contractor can be paid on every requested date.
Add any proposed repayment to a month with lower expected collections. Include payroll, rent, existing debt payments and other regular commitments. Test what happens if a customer pays late or an unrelated repair is needed. Avoid treating projected energy savings as cash already available.
BDC's guidance on cash flow forecasting explains why projections should be reviewed as circumstances change. Use your own records and discuss assumptions with your accountant where appropriate.
Ask for unclear terms to be explained before signing. A lower monthly amount can reflect a different term or structure rather than a lower overall cost.
Get a commercial project quote from Infinite Home Services, then ask Mehmi Financial Group to review your financing request. Keep the installation contract and financing agreement distinct when checking your obligations.
