Just Eat and Deliveroo trading records can help explain a restaurant’s revenue and cash flow to a funding provider. Whether the receipts qualify for a particular product, and how much funding is available, depends on the provider’s assessment and the agreement.

The critical distinction is between gross order value and cash available to the restaurant. Platform charges, refunds, adjustments and existing collections can reduce the amount that reaches the bank. A funding application and affordability forecast should show those differences clearly.
Are there funding routes connected to these platforms?
Deliveroo announced its UK Deliveroo Capital programme with Liberis in February 2026. Its announcement describes funding offered and provided by Liberis directly to eligible merchant partners, with offers communicated through email and the Partner Hub. Deliveroo itself is not the finance provider. Source: Deliveroo Capital launch.
Just Eat has also announced a UK funding partnership with YouLend as part of support for restaurant partners. Check the current partner account and provider terms for availability; a historical announcement does not establish that every restaurant has a live offer. These routes are separate from an outside finance provider considering platform receipts as part of the restaurant’s wider trading picture. Ask which route is being proposed and who signs the agreement.
Reconcile order value to the bank payout
Download platform statements for representative periods and match them to bank deposits. A useful reconciliation begins with orders and shows every deduction or adjustment before the payout.
For an invented example:
| Item | Illustrative amount |
|---|---|
| Gross order receipts in the period | £20,000 |
| Platform charges and adjustments | £5,000 |
| Refunds | £500 |
| Amount before any funding collection | £14,500 |
The £20,000 order figure is not £20,000 available to pay wages and suppliers. Equally, the £14,500 payout is not extra turnover to add to the £20,000. It is the remaining cash from those receipts in this simplified example.
Actual platform statements can use different definitions and display charges in different ways. Use the figures and treatment in your own records, including tax where relevant, and ask your accountant about any unclear classification.
Keep each sales channel separate
A restaurant may receive money through Just Eat, Deliveroo, its own website, in-person cards and cash. List each channel separately before producing a total.
Check whether an order-management system already includes marketplace orders. Adding its total to the marketplace statements without removing overlap can count the same meal twice.
For each channel, show gross sales, refunds, charges, net settlements and the receiving account. If a funding provider accepts only selected receipts, distinguish those from the wider business turnover used in the cash forecast.
Do not assume that a platform-specific funding offer automatically combines every channel. Ask which receipts support eligibility and which are included in collections.
Explain multiple outlets and trading names
Where one legal business operates several restaurants, connect each outlet’s statements to the correct entity and bank account. Where separate companies operate different sites, keep their records separate unless a provider explicitly requests a group view.

A shared brand or owner does not automatically mean all receipts belong to the same applicant. The funding agreement must identify the business taking on the obligation.
Review the guarantee questions in our guide, Fast Business Loans Without a Personal Guarantee UK.
If a site was acquired recently, explain the ownership date and distinguish the current operator’s receipts from the previous operator’s history. Do not present older sales as though the applicant earned them without explaining the change.
A simple outlet schedule can prevent confusion: legal entity, trading name, platform account, settlement account and period of ownership.
Check the base used for funding collections
An offer might describe collections as a percentage, but the definition of that percentage matters. Ask whether it applies to order receipts, net platform payouts or another contractual base.
Using the earlier hypothetical figures, a 10% collection on £20,000 would be £2,000. A 10% collection on £14,500 would be £1,450. The £550 difference is significant for a restaurant’s weekly cash.
These are alternative calculation examples, not the terms of Just Eat, Deliveroo, Liberis or YouLend. The provider must confirm the actual base, timing and treatment of adjustments.

Also identify any minimum payment, final deadline or trading obligation. Sales-linked collections do not justify assuming that every other contractual condition disappears during quieter periods.

Assess the contribution from each channel
High delivery sales are not enough on their own to establish affordability. Consider the food cost, packaging, incremental labour, platform charges and refunds associated with those orders.
For a promotion, calculate the cash contribution after the discount and additional costs. A campaign that increases orders but reduces the contribution per order can leave less cash for funding than expected.
Separate the costs that change with sales from those that remain due. Ingredients may decline when orders fall, while rent and committed staffing may not. Use the restaurant’s own records to build the weaker-sales case.
Include in-person trading too, but do not assume it will automatically cover a delivery shortfall. Test the period when both channels are under pressure, such as a planned closure or a quieter season.
Include existing funding and upcoming bills
List current loans, advances, lease payments and other finance commitments. Show where collections occur: before a platform payout, through a bank debit or elsewhere.
If two providers collect from related receipts, ask how their deductions interact and whether the agreements permit the additional funding. A second offer does not automatically replace the first balance.
Build a weekly forecast that includes wages, suppliers, rent, utilities and tax. Settlement timing can create a shortage even when the monthly figures look positive. Identify the lowest cash point and how the business will cover it.

For a kitchen refurbishment or equipment purchase, include downtime and installation costs. The expected benefit may begin later than the first funding collection.
Prepare a clear assessment pack
Useful records include platform statements, corresponding bank statements, a sales-channel summary, existing funding balances and the proposed spending plan. Include an explanation of unusual closures, promotions, refunds or changes in ownership.
Use original documents and keep the periods consistent. A concise reconciliation is more useful than a large collection of screenshots with different dates.
Confirm the provider’s application requirements before sending documents. There is no universal approval threshold that applies to every restaurant or every funding route.
Frequently asked questions
Can both Just Eat and Deliveroo receipts be considered?
An outside provider may assess multiple channels, but it must confirm what it accepts. A platform-specific offer should not be assumed to combine both automatically.
Should I submit order totals or bank payouts?
Provide the requested records and a reconciliation between them. Both can be useful, but they describe different stages of the same trading activity.
Does a large payout guarantee approval?
No. The provider also needs to assess the business and the proposed obligation. Affordability depends on costs and commitments as well as receipts.
Can funding pay for a new oven or refurbishment?
Check permitted business uses in the agreement. Then compare the cost and collection timing with the project’s expected benefit and any disruption.
