Evaluate campaign financing against a defined budget and repayment capacity, not promised advertising returns.
Evaluate campaign financing against a defined budget and repayment capacity, not promised advertising returns.
Before applying for financing, describe the campaign objective, audience, supplier scope and total proposed spend. For a SportMédia project, distinguish placement, production and any supporting marketing work. A written plan makes it easier to decide whether the request covers a complete campaign or only part of it.
Advertising outcomes are uncertain. Build a repayment view using existing business cash flow, then separately consider possible campaign results. Avoid a plan that only works if new sales arrive immediately. Include other operating commitments that fall due during the campaign period.
Identify your own contribution, amounts already paid and remaining supplier invoices. Ask whether the campaign can be phased and what that would change about pricing or delivery. A smaller initial commitment may suit some projects, but it should be assessed against the supplier's actual proposal.
Review payment frequency, total repayment, fees and any security or personal guarantee requirements in an offer. Ask about early repayment and what happens if the supplier schedule changes. Do not assume that marketing services qualify for a particular product or that approval is automatic.
Mehmi Financial Group can review a request based on your business and the proposed expense. SportMédia remains the source for campaign scope and delivery details. Confirm both arrangements before proceeding. The Business Development Bank of Canada's marketing financing guidance is useful background for preparing a plan, but its products and eligibility rules are not Mehmi's terms.
